5000 Metres for MRKH 2.0

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Help raise awareness for the 1 in 5000 females diagnosed with MRKH Syndrome by walking/running 5000 Metres.

Whether you are local, or located across the globe, anyone can get involved.

Last year, this event came about after being inspired by the 5000 in 50 Challenge hosted by MRKH Connect, so this year we have partnered with them! The 5000 in 50 Challenge aims to reach a collective goal of completing 5000 hours of wellness activities in 50 days. It is a campaign meant to raise awareness and increase practices of self-care among the global MRKH community. Our walk/run fundraiser, is an activity you can participate in to use towards the 5000 hours for the 5000 in 50 Challenge! (The hours spent training AND the hours on the day of the event.) It is up to you whether you choose to participate in one or both campaigns.

Each individual who signs up is encouraged to bring in donations to help us reach our goal of raising $5000 for MRKH Canada to put towards initiatives to support, awareness and resources for people with MRKH and their supporters.

The individual who raises the most money will receive a Prize, but everyone who contributes will also be entered to win one. There will be awards for those who choose to compete and place 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 5K race as well.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS:

“Walker” – $10 registration fee

Includes: 

- A link to the virtual opening ceremony/stretch for the event 

- 1 Participation Ribbon 

- 2 motivational buttons 

- A chance to win one of 3 door prizes

“Racer” – $25 registration fee

Includes: 

- A link to the virtual opening ceremony/stretch for the event 

- The opportunity to submit your race time for the chance to win one of 3 medals/prizes (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) 

- Downloadable Racer Bib 

- 1 Participation Ribbon 

- 2 motivational buttons 

- A chance to win one of 3 door prizes 

- 4 MRKH Identification Cards
