5000 Metres for MRKH Fundraiser

This year's 5000 Metres for MRKH Fundraiser is taking place on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Help raise awareness for the 1 in 5000 females diagnosed with MRKH Syndrome by walking/running 5000 Metres with us!

Whether you are local, or located across the globe, anyone can get involved. Multiply your impact by asking your friends and family to donate or join your 5K team!

Each individual who signs up is encouraged to bring in donations to help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 for MRKH Canada to put towards initiatives that provide support, awareness and resources for people with MRKH and their supporters.

This year is extra special, as it is MRKH Canada's first year as an official registered charity, which means everyone who registers and/or donates will receive a tax receipt and will be entered for a chance to win some awesome door prizes!

OUR MISSION

MRKH Canada's mission as the first Canadian MRKH charity is to educate, empower and support those diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser Syndrome (MRKH) within Canada and beyond through advocacy, events and other organized initiatives. Our organization stands as an advocacy group, support network and resource for both the medical community and those diagnosed with, or supporting those with MRKH. We aim to increase the knowledge and decrease the shame and stigma attached to the condition, as well as to improve the quality of life and care for those living with the syndrome. 

IN-PERSON PARTICIPATION - $25

The in-person event will be taking place in KINGSTON, ON, at the Invista Centre South Field (1350 Gardiners Rd) at 10AM.

VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION - $20

WHAT IS MRKH SYNDROME?

MRKH Syndrome is a congenital condition that affects the development of the reproductive system in approximately 1 in 5000 females (46, XX). It causes the underdevelopment or absence of the uterus, cervix & vaginal canal and may also impact kidney, skeletal, hearing, heart & mental health.
